Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime Clinches Adelaide International, Secures Sixth ATP Title

11 Jan: Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime claimed victory at the Adelaide International, defeating American Sebastian Korda 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in a thrilling final.

The 24-year-old from Montreal showcased his powerful serve, hitting 10 aces and winning 75% of his service points throughout the match. Both players faced challenges in converting break points, with Korda managing 1 out of 5 opportunities, while Auger-Aliassime succeeded on 3 of 10 attempts.

This triumph marked the sixth ATP singles title in Auger-Aliassime’s career and his first on outdoor hard courts. The world No. 29 had a strong run in the tournament, overcoming France’s Arthur Cazaux, Marco Giron of the United States, and top-seeded American Tommy Paul before securing the title.

The Adelaide International win serves as an excellent preparation for the Australian Open, where Auger-Aliassime is set to begin his Grand Slam campaign on Sunday against Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff.
