The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in multiple Robbery investigations.
It is alleged that:
- on Monday, July 10, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m. a man robbed a victim of personal property in the Danforth Avenue/Donlands Avenue area
- on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., the same man used a firearm to rob a victim of personal property in the Queen Street West/Abell Street area
- on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., the same man robbed a victim of personal property in the Danforth Avenue/Coxwell Avenue area
- on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., the same man assaulted a victim in the Donlands Avenue/Cosburn Avenue area
On Thursday, July 13, 2023, the man, Omar Leo Boussou, 29, was located and arrested. He was charged with:
- Robbery with a Firearm
- Robbery with Offensive Weapon
- two counts of Robbery with Violence
- Assault
- Point Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Use Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence
- Use Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Indictable Offence
- Weapons Dangerous
Police are concerned there may be more victims. An image has been released.
He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10 a.m., in courtroom 106.
