Investigators from the Intimate Partner Violence Unit (IPV) have successfully apprehended a man with connections to Saskatchewan and Brampton, wanted in relation to an IPV investigation.
On May 30, 2024, a Canada-wide warrant was issued for Jagmohanjit Jheety, a 47-year-old man from Saskatchewan, for the following Criminal Code offenses:
- Criminal harassment
- Harassing communications
- Uttering death threats
- Failure to comply with release order
On July 13, 2024, investigators located and arrested Jheety in Brampton for his outstanding warrant. During the arrest, he was additionally charged with:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Tampering with the serial number of a firearm
- Attempted murder
Jheety is currently being held pending a bail hearing.
