Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt became emotional while delivering a heartfelt speech at the wedding celebrations of her longtime best friend, Akanksha Ranjan.
A video shared by Ranjan from the intimate wedding festivities showed Bhatt paying tribute to the bride and reflecting on her special place within their close-knit group of friends.
Calling Ranjan the “glue that holds us all together,” Bhatt praised her best friend for maintaining meaningful and individual relationships with everyone in their circle and always being there for those closest to her.
Bhatt also recalled an emotional moment as Ranjan walked down the aisle. The actor said she found herself looking at the groom, filmmaker Sharan Sharma, and was moved after seeing tears in his eyes as he watched his bride.
The Bollywood star played bridesmaid during the celebrations and was joined by Ranjan’s other close friends for the intimate ceremony.
Akanksha’s sister, actor Anushka Ranjan, also delivered an emotional speech, highlighting the bride’s caring nature and her ability to love those around her unconditionally.
Akanksha Ranjan and Sharan Sharma tied the knot on July 11 in the presence of family members and close friends from the film industry.
