Health and wellness providers in Peel have a lot to offer and recently the Indus’ Health Fair provided space and promotion for important issues and services at a two-day fair with interactive sessions, presentations, and networking with health and wellness professionals.
Through the Apna Health collaboration, Indus Community Services (Indus) held a two-day Health & Wellness Fair at the Queen’s Manor Event Centre in Brampton on March 8th and 9th, 2023. About 1,000 people attended and connected with over 30 local health and wellness providers in Peel such as William Osler Health System, Canadian Mental Health Association, Wellfort Community Health Services, to name a few.
“We’re so glad that Apna Health is presenting the Health and Wellbeing fair in Brampton. Over the last two days, hundreds of local seniors and newcomers have had the chance to learn what they can do to preserve good health and promote wellbeing in their families,” said Indus’ Chief Executive Officer, Gurpreet Malhotra.
“It was wonderful to see the engagement and participation of the community members over the course of the two days. The fair was able to highlight some important issues such as cancer screening, diabetes education, vaccines, mental health and seniors care,” said Director – Health Services, Navneet Dhillon.
An attendee, Nayna Brahambhatt, was appreciative and remarked that, “The fair was great! I enjoyed coming with my friends, learning about information for seniors, eating delicious food, and entering raffles for giveaways. I would love to come again. Thank you to the very friendly staff for this great event!”
