Brampton Bans Fireworks

We said we would take action and here we are. One of the core responsibilities of the City is to provide a great quality of life to their residents. Alongside Councillor Keenan, I am confident that this is the first step to do so.

Here is what you need to know regarding the new fireworks by-law 🎆

  1. The use, discharge and sale of all types of fireworks is now prohibited in Brampton.
  2. A $500 fine for the use and discharge of a firework.
  3. A $1000 fine for the sale of any fireworks.
  4. Only exception to this by-law is City-run fireworks displays (which will now include Diwali) and the film industry (with permits).

A win for our seniors, residents with health difficulties, children, pets & animals.

Gurpartap Singh Toor
Regional Councillor
Wards 9 and 10
Brampton
