Canada India Foundation Launches the Global Inclusive Prosperity Forum 2026

A Landmark Initiative to Kick-off Global Dialogue on the Importance of Inclusiveness in Economic Growth, Innovation and Social Welfare

A stellar cast of internationally renowned domain experts will gather together in Toronto under the aegis of Canada India Foundation (CIF) on Sept 11, 2026 to discuss the most pressing challenge facing the world today – building a more inclusive, sustainable and prosperous society. CIF announced the details of the upcoming international conference, Global Inclusive Prosperity Forum (GIPF), at a press conference held on July 15, 2026 at the CIF office.

The first of its kind to be held in Toronto, GIPF is expected to set a new standard and elevate the conversation and create fresh avenues to explore to strengthen inclusive growth. Many of the participants are leaders with decades of experience and seasoned and compelling campaigners in the topics chosen.

GIPF, a landmark international thought leadership summit, will bring together leaders from government, business, academia, civil society and the innovation ecosystem in a day-long event to present and share ideas through keynote addresses and panel sessions, highlighting today’s most pressing geopolitical, economic, technological and social challenges and engaging in collaborative dialogue on themes critical to inclusive prosperity.

“The Canada India Foundation (CIF) has consistently championed initiatives that meaningfully strengthen the Canada India bilateral relationship. With the Global Inclusive Prosperity Forum (GIPF), we are elevating this commitment to an even broader and more impactful level at a time when both nations are expanding their global outlook and seeking new avenues for shared growth and prosperity,” said Ritesh Malik, Chair of the Canada India Foundation.

“Over the years, CIF has successfully convened bilateral forums focused on key industry sectors such as energy, education, healthcare etc. However, GIPF represents our most ambitious undertaking to date. We are proud to introduce a platform defined by deep expertise, fresh perspectives, and a commitment to shaping forward looking policies that foster a fair, inclusive, and just society,” he added. Apart from its renowned thematic Canada-India forums, CIF has also been active in its direct support for those in need. Its ‘Thank You’ Meals program, its annual Golf event in support for the Fallen Soldiers, and its proactive role in the fight against COVID-19, are proof of its commitment to inclusive prosperity.

“It has been a privilege to chair previous Canada India Foundation forums, and I am truly honored to now lead this initiative on behalf of CIF; one that addresses one of the defining priorities of the 21st century: advancing inclusive prosperity on a global scale,” said V.I. Lakshmanan, O.C., Chair of the Global Inclusive Prosperity Forum.

“I envision this forum evolving into a premier annual gathering of global thought leaders, complementing leading platforms such as the World Economic Forum, and contributing meaningfully to shaping a more equitable and sustainable future,” he added.

The inaugural Forum will be addressing the following themes:
Enablers of Inclusive Prosperity (Healthcare, Food security, Skill Development)
Philanthropy and Compassionate Entrepreneurship
Technology Leadership and Artificial Intelligence
Social Persuasion and Community Engagement
Policy Leadership
Learning as Engine of Change

“Addressing rising economic disparity requires focused structural reforms, not merely reliance on growth indicators. CIF seeks to bring this pertinent issue before social scientists, economists, and policy planners to encourage meaningful dialogue on building a more inclusive and equitable future”, said Pankaj Dave, National Convener CIF.

The Global Inclusive Prosperity Forum (GIPF), presented by Canada India Foundation, will be held in Toronto, Canada on September 11, 2026.

Eminent global speakers from diverse backgrounds will be participating in the Forum. They represent governments, research foundations, universities, technology companies, Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies, and others.
