Canada to Mark International Day of Yoga 2026 with Events in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver

Canada is set to celebrate the International Day of Yoga 2026 with a series of events taking place across major cities, bringing together communities to promote health, mindfulness and well-being.

Organized in collaboration with the High Commission of India in Ottawa and the Consulates General of India in Toronto and Vancouver, the celebrations will be held on June 20 and 21. In Toronto, participants will gather at Queen’s Park on June 20, while Vancouver will host its event the same day at David Lam Park. The national capital, Ottawa, will mark the occasion on June 21 at the lawns of Parliament Hill.

The events are part of a global initiative that highlights yoga as a holistic practice fostering physical health, mental clarity and emotional balance. This year’s theme, “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” underscores the interconnectedness of personal well-being and planetary health.

Participants can expect a day focused on collective practice, reflection and community engagement, offering an opportunity to reconnect with both self and society through the ancient discipline of yoga.

The International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21, continues to draw widespread participation worldwide, emphasizing unity, harmony and a shared commitment to healthier lifestyles.
