The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a wanted man.
It is alleged that:
- On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, two men were involved in the theft of a motor vehicle in the Culford Road and Woolton Crescent area
- Officers attended the call and were assaulted while attempting to arrest the men who were on scene
- The stolen vehicle was recovered
- One man was arrested and the second man fled the area in a grey Honda Civic
Darrin Cameron, 42, of Toronto was arrested and charged with:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of Break-In Instrument
- Possession of Automobile Master Key
- Assault Peace Officer
- two counts of Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest
- two counts of Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Obstruct Peace Officer
The outstanding man is described as 6′, medium to heavy build. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, lighter colored pants, light shoes with a darker sole. He was last seen driving a grey coloured Honda Civic. The vehicle was last seen in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West area.
