World-renowned Sundarkand exponent Shri Guruji Ashwin Kumar Pathak Ji successfully completed an extraordinary 13-day spiritual tour across Ontario, Canada, inspiring thousands of devotees through the divine recitation of Sundarkand and its profound teachings for daily life.
From July 13 to July 27, 2026, Guruji travelled across the province, performing 13 Sundarkand Paths in 13 consecutive days, including eight major public events held in different regions of Ontario.

Guruji began the Ontario tour with his 9,710th Sundarkand Path and concluded with his 9,722nd, continuing his extraordinary spiritual mission of performing Sundarkand every single day for the past 26 years across the world.
Guruji’s lifelong mission is to share the divine teachings of Sundarkand with people around the world and inspire everyone to incorporate its timeless values into their daily lives, leading to peace, happiness, humility, courage, and spiritual fulfillment.
While introducing Sundarkand, Guruji explained that it is the fifth chapter of the Ramcharitmanas, composed by the revered saint-poet Goswami Tulsidas. Widely regarded as the heart of the Ramayana, Sundarkand beautifully narrates the heroic journey of Lord Hanuman, exemplifying unwavering devotion, courage, wisdom, humility, and selfless service.
Unlike the other sections of the Ramayana, the central hero of Sundarkand is Hanuman Ji. His fearless journey across the ocean, search for Mata Sita in Lanka, and unwavering devotion to Lord Shri Ram symbolize the triumph of faith over fear, righteousness over adversity, and service over self.
Guruji emphasized that the regular recitation of Sundarkand is traditionally believed to:
- Remove obstacles and negativity
- Bring peace, prosperity, and happiness
- Strengthen determination and confidence
- Restore harmony within families
- Promote mental and emotional well-being
- Encourage humility and righteous living
- Guide devotees toward spiritual liberation (Moksha)
He also explained that Tuesdays and Saturdays are especially auspicious for the recitation of Sundarkand and worship of Lord Hanuman. The Ontario Sundarkand Yatra witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 25,000 devotees participating in the 13-day spiritual journey. The events at Hindu Sabha Mandir and Triveni Mandir in Brampton attracted thousands of devotees and became among the largest spiritual gatherings in the history of these temples. Devotees travelled from Ottawa, Montreal, and numerous cities across Ontario to take part in the sacred recitations.
The events were graced by respected religious leaders, temple presidents, management committees, priests, community leaders, elected officials, and distinguished guests, including:
- Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton
- Hardeep Grewal, Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP)
- Rod Power, Brampton City Councillor
- Viviane Lapointe, Member of Parliament for Sudbury
- Leaders and representatives of numerous Hindu organizations and temples across Ontario
Organizers Rashi and Naval Bajaj expressed their sincere gratitude to the thousands of devotees whose participation made the Ontario Sundarkand Yatra an extraordinary spiritual success.
They extended special thanks to Valmik Khamar, Ulpesh Patel and family working shoulder to shoulder. Thanks to the management committees of every participating temple, hundreds of volunteers, and the countless individuals who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
Guruji also expressed his heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to organizing the Ontario tour, stating that such collective efforts continue to spread the colours of Sanatan Dharma throughout Ontario and across Canada.
Special appreciation was also extended to Didi Trupti Jani and her husband Nithish Jani, who travelled from the United States to accompany Guruji throughout the Ontario Yatra.
The organizers sincerely thanked everyone whose dedication made this spiritual journey possible.

Naval Bajaj thanked every devotee who attended despite space limitations at several venues. “We sincerely apologize to those who could not be accommodated comfortably. We are already working on making next year’s events even larger so that everyone wishing to attend can participate. With Guruji’s blessings, we look forward to welcoming everyone again next year.”

The 2026 Ontario Sundarkand Yatra concluded as one of the largest and most inspiring spiritual journeys ever organized across Ontario.
