Junior Francois Lavagesse, 29 Wanted After Allegedly Threatening To Shoot Toronto Mayoral Candidates; Debate Cancelled

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in a Uttering Threats investigation.

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, at approximately 10:44 a.m., police were called to a location in the Greenwood Avenue and Mortimer Avenue area.

It is alleged that:

  • a man entered a location and made threatening remarks about shooting Toronto mayoral candidates
  • the man brandished what appeared to be a firearm 

Junior Francois Lavagesse, 29, of Toronto, is wanted for:

  1. Threaten Bodily Harm
  2. Carry Concealed Weapon
  3. Weapons Dangerous

He is described as 6’1″, 180 lbs., with black hair in locks.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
