Ramayana Trailer Set For July 18 Launch; Ranbir Kapoor-Yash Film Heads To San Diego Comic-Con

The promotional campaign for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is set to begin with a grand trailer launch in New Delhi before the film makes its international debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2026.

According to reports, the first trailer of the epic starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash will be unveiled at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on July 18. The event is expected to mark the official start of the film’s marketing campaign ahead of its global showcase in the United States.

Ramayana is scheduled to be presented at San Diego Comic-Con on July 23 in Ballroom 20. The panel will feature producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram, and Yash, who plays Ravana.

The Comic-Con presentation will offer audiences an exclusive first look at the film, which is being promoted as one of the largest cinematic productions in Indian film history. The official event description highlights the film as a retelling of the ancient Indian epic centred on Prince Rama and his battle against the demon king Ravana.

The appearance also marks a significant milestone for Indian cinema, with Ramayana becoming only the second Indian film after Kalki 2898 AD to receive a major showcase at San Diego Comic-Con.

Reportedly made on a budget of approximately ₹4,000 crore, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The ensemble cast also includes Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chaddha and Adinath Kothare.

The project is planned as a two-part saga, with Ramayana: Part 1 scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, while the second installment is expected to follow at a later date.
