A 25-year-old Etobicoke man who worked as an Uber driver has been charged with two counts of sexual assault following an investigation by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) in Burlington.
Police allege the incident occurred on June 16, 2026, at approximately 5:15 p.m. in the south parking lot of the Burlington GO Station on Fairview Street. An adult woman was approached by the accused, and during a conversation, she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
According to investigators, the victim immediately left the area but was followed by the suspect to a nearby business, where she was allegedly sexually assaulted a second time. Police said the victim did not suffer any physical injuries.
The investigation was led by the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit, which identified the suspect. On July 26, 2026, officers arrested Mandeep Singh, 25, of Etobicoke, and charged him with two counts of sexual assault. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
Police say Singh was employed as an Uber driver at the time of the alleged offences and are concerned there may be additional victims. Investigators have released his photograph and are asking anyone with information or anyone who believes they may have been victimized by the accused to contact the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.
