July 8: Police in Peel Region are requesting help from the public to locate Jagmohanjit Jheety, a 47-year-old man from Saskatchewan, who is wanted in connection with an intimate partner violence investigation.
Jheety is subject to a Canada-wide warrant for several Criminal Code offenses, including criminal harassment, harassing communications, uttering death threats, and failing to comply with a release order.
Authorities believe Jheety may be in the Peel Region and could have access to firearms and other weapons. He also faces additional charges, including unauthorized possession of a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.
The police have advised that Jheety is considered armed and dangerous. The public is urged not to approach him but to call 9-1-1 immediately if he is seen.
