Toyota Canada Releases February Vehicle Sales Results

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 12,033 vehicles in February 2023, up 4.4% from February 2022.

Toyota division sold 9,983 units, down 2.0% from February 2022. Lexus division had a February sales record, selling 2,050 units, up 52.4% from February 2022.

Electrified vehicles

Electrified vehicles represented 36.2% of TCI’s overall sales in February and both Toyota and Lexus divisions saw record electrified vehicle uptake for the month of February.

Toyota division electrified vehicles represented 34.9% of overall Toyota units sold in February 2023, led by RAV4 Hybrid February sales record, but also by Corolla Hybrid, Highlander Hybrid and Tundra Hybrid February sales records.

Lexus division electrified vehicles represented 42.6% of overall Lexus units sold in February 2023, with NX Hybrid, NX PHEV and RX Hybrid all reaching February sales records.

Made in Canada

Vehicles assembled in Canada led the charge in February, both for Toyota and Lexus brands. Sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada in 2022, the Toyota RAV4, were up 64%, led by record February sales of the RAV4 Hybrid. Meanwhile, Lexus NX and RX sales reached record February sales, including records for their respective Hybrid versions.
