Y Media Big Shot: Australia clinched a 3-0 series sweep against Pakistan in the T20I series, securing a seven-wicket victory in the final match in Hobart

Hobart, Australia (AP) – Marcus Stoinis played a blistering knock of 61* off just 27 balls to help Australia complete a dominant 3-0 series sweep against Pakistan in the final T20I, winning by seven wickets on Monday.

Stoinis, who hit five sixes – including three off Shaheen Shah Afridi in one over – and five fours, led Australia to a swift 118-3 in 11.2 overs. Pakistan’s fast bowlers, Shaheen Afridi (1-43) and Haris Rauf (0-34), struggled, conceding 77 runs from their six overs.

Earlier, Pakistan struggled to build partnerships, losing nine wickets for just 56 runs after a strong start from Babar Azam (41) and Haseebullah Khan (24). Despite a quick start in the powerplay, Pakistan was dismissed for just 117 in 18.1 overs.

Australia’s captain, Josh Inglis, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, saying, “It’s been a great week. We’ve had a lot of fun as a group. When Stoinis is on fire, he’s tough to stop.”

In the match, Haseebullah Khan replaced regular captain Mohammad Rizwan, and Salman Ali Agha led Pakistan as their fourth T20 skipper this year. Left-arm pacer Jahandad Khan came in for Naseem Shah in the squad changes.
