Y Media Joins as Proud Media Partner for the 22nd Annual CIMA Canada Mayor’s Trophy Cricket Event

Y Media is a proud media partner with CIMA Canada for the 22nd Annual CIMA Canada Mayor’s Trophy (CMT), one of Toronto’s premier community cricket events, taking place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Sunnybrook Park.

Founded in 2005 as a corporate social responsibility initiative by former Toronto Mayor David Miller and former Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair, the CIMA Mayor’s Trophy has grown into a celebrated annual tradition that showcases cricket as a powerful force for community engagement, youth participation, and cross-cultural connection. The event is organized by CIMA Canada, the Canadian branch of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA), one of the world’s largest professional accounting bodies.

This year’s tournament will bring together teams representing leading public and private sector organizations, including the City of Toronto, Toronto Police Service, Ontario Provincial Police, TTC, Toronto District School Board, Metrolinx, TD Bank, Bombardier, Rogers Communications, CBC, The Globe and Mail, and several professional accounting associations.

Distinguished guests expected to attend include Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow as the Chief Guest, members of Toronto City Council, Alfred Ramosedi the incoming Global President of CIMA, senior executives from across Canada, and Consuls General from cricket-playing nations.

As the proud media partner, Y Media will provide extensive event coverage and actively participate in the festivities, supporting the event’s mission of celebrating Toronto’s diversity and strengthening community ties through sport.

The CIMA Mayor’s Trophy continues to serve as a unique platform where civic leaders, businesses, media organizations, and communities come together to celebrate inclusion, teamwork, and the enduring spirit of cricket in one of the world’s most multicultural cities.
