Arya Samaj and Bollywood Ki Dhun Host Spectacular Multicultural Day Celebration in Markham

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the vibrant tapestry of Canadian diversity was on full display as Arya Samaj and Bollywood Ki Dhun joined forces to celebrate Multicultural Day. The highly successful event drew an enthusiastic crowd of more than 200 attendees, bringing the community together for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and unity.

A Night of Exceptional Performances:

The cultural showcase featured a dynamic lineup of talent that kept the audience captivated from start to finish:

Bollywood Magic: Dynamic musical performances were delivered by Rohan Kapur and Rajan Sharma—a talented disciple of the legendary Bollywood singer Kishore Kumar. The energetic sets had the crowd on their feet, dancing to the beats of fast-paced Bollywood hits.

Multicultural Highlights: Celebrating global rhythms, the Blooming Clouds dance troupe—a group of five exceptionally talented dancers—delivered a stunning Chinese dance performance.

Vocal Showcases: The audience was treated to a soulful Punjabi song by Kamini Bhola, alongside two beautiful vocal performances by Prabhat Sood.

Seamless Leadership and Volunteerism

The evening was seamlessly guided by Emcee Sudha Verma (Lions Past District Governor and current Global Service Team Chair), who captivated the audience by weaving beautiful shayari (poetry) between the cultural acts. In addition to her hosting duties, Verma joined Rajan Sharma and Rohan Kapur on stage to sing during the high-energy dance segments.

The monumental success of the event was driven by the dedication of numerous volunteers who contributed unlimited hours of hard work behind the scenes.

Community Gratitude

True to the spirit of community, guests were treated to tea and snacks at the beginning of the evening, followed by a delicious dinner provided by the Samaj at the conclusion of the event.

The Multicultrual event was attended by Ravi Pandey of Hindi Abroad and Sam Chopra, President of South Asians in Ontario organization.

Closing out the night, Emcee Sudha Verma expressed her gratitude to Yash Kapur, President of Arya Samaj, for his leadership in organizing such a beautiful celebration. Yash Kapur took the stage to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated volunteers and key sponsors who made the evening possible, including:
