Sunny Deol could emerge as Bollywood’s highest-grossing actor of 2026, with three major releases expected to generate massive box office numbers by the end of the year.
Currently, Ranveer Singh leads the race after the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar 2, which has reportedly collected ₹1,186.32 crore net at the Indian box office.
Sunny Deol has already scored a major hit with Border 2, which earned ₹362.76 crore net in India. He is now preparing for the release of Batwara 1947, which industry estimates suggest could post collections in a similar range.
Adding to his strong lineup is Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, in which Deol portrays Lord Hanuman alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram. Scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, the film is widely expected to be one of the year’s biggest box office performers, with early projections suggesting it could cross the ₹1,000 crore mark in India.
If Border 2, Batwara 1947, and Ramayana all perform as expected, Sunny Deol’s combined box office total could surpass Ranveer Singh’s current tally, making him the highest-grossing Bollywood actor of 2026.
With several months still remaining in the year, the race for Bollywood’s biggest box office star is expected to intensify as more high-profile releases hit theatres.
