Joins Kris Versteeg, Phil Oreskovic, Erik Gudbranson and Ethan Czata for this year’s charity game supporting Brampton’s second hospital
Hockey Night in Brampton is adding more NHL talent to this year’s charity game, welcoming Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Rielly as team captain, Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson, Stanley Cup champion Kris Versteeg, and Brampton natives Phil Oreskovic, a former Toronto Maple Leaf, and NHL draft pick Ethan Czata to the lineup for an unforgettable night of hockey in their hometown.
The latest additions join an already star-studded lineup featuring Hockey Hall of Famer Paul Coffey; NHL alumni Joe Kocur, Ryan Getzlaf and Cody Hodgson; current NHL stars Dylan Strome and Owen Power; and coaches Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark and Gary Roberts, all uniting to support the fundraising efforts for Brampton’s second hospital.
The lineup will continue to grow, with more player announcements to come in the weeks ahead.

Player Profiles
Morgan Rielly
Morgan Rielly is one of the NHL’s premier defensemen and has spent his entire career with the Toronto Maple Leafs after being selected fifth overall in the 2012 NHL Draft. A two-time NHL All-Star, Rielly has recorded more than 500 career points while serving as a cornerstone of the Maple Leafs’ blue line. Known for his leadership, skating and offensive playmaking ability, Rielly will serve as a captain during Hockey Night in Brampton.
Kris Versteeg
A two-time Stanley Cup champion, Kris Versteeg enjoyed an 11-season NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings and Calgary Flames. Versteeg won Stanley Cups with Chicago in 2010 and 2015, recording more than 350 career NHL points while earning a reputation as a skilled, versatile forward.
Phil Oreskovic
Phil Oreskovic played in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks after being selected by Toronto in the 2005 NHL Draft. A Brampton Battalion alumnus, Oreskovic remains actively involved in the community through a youth hockey development program in Brampton delivered in partnership with local organizations, helping inspire and develop the next generation of local players.
Eric Gudbranson
Ethan Czata is one of the OHL’s rising young stars and currently plays for the Niagara IceDogs. Selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2025 NHL Draft, Czata has established himself as a dynamic two-way forward and continues to develop as one of the league’s top prospects.
