President Donald Trump is holding separate White House meetings Tuesday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Washington, D.C., hosts funeral services for longtime Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
Trump’s meeting with Netanyahu is expected to focus on the conflict with Iran, a proposed peace framework for Lebanon and efforts to expand the Abraham Accords, according to the White House. The president also met with Zelenskyy to discuss the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.
Later in the day, Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at Graham’s funeral service at Washington National Cathedral. Earlier tributes included a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol, where congressional leaders honored the South Carolina senator’s decades of public service.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote Tuesday evening on Jay Clayton’s nomination to become Director of National Intelligence, replacing acting intelligence chief Bill Pulte.
