Peel police arrest Brampton man in sex trafficking case, urge potential victims to come forward

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Specialized Enforcement Bureau – Vice Unit have arrested and charged a male in relation to a sex trafficking investigation of a female in Peel Region. 

In November 2024, following a human trafficking investigation, police allege the victim was being exploited in the sex trade for over a year. It is believed that the suspect exercised control over aspects of the victim’s life and profited financially from it. 

On November 10, 2024 Carnelle Clarke, a 41-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code Offences: 

  • Procuring
  • Trafficking in Persons
  • Material Benefit
  • Withholding Documents
  • Advertise
  • Exercise Control, Direction or Influence
  • Derive Material Benefit

He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims, particularly in the Greater Toronto Area, and are urging them to contact them at 905-453-2121, extension 3555.
