CIBC has appointed veteran technology executive Prasanna Gopalakrishnan to its board of directors, bringing decades of financial services and technology experience to the Canadian bank.
The appointment will take effect September 1, 2026. CIBC board chair Kate Stevenson said Gopalakrishnan brings extensive financial services experience as well as significant expertise in technology and artificial intelligence.
Gopalakrishnan most recently served as global chief product and AI officer at ADP. She previously worked as group chief technology officer at Sky in London and also served as chief information officer of the retail bank at Bank of America.
Her appointment adds an executive with senior-level experience across banking, technology and AI as financial institutions continue to expand their use of digital services and emerging technologies.
