Families, friends, and supporters came together in heartfelt unity on Saturday, May 11th, at Streetsville Memorial Park in Mississauga for Breast Cancer Canada’s annual Mother’s Day Walk. The 5KM walk, held in honour of mothers and loved ones affected by breast cancer, brought hundreds of participants together to raise critical funds for life-saving breast cancer research.

The event, filled with energy, hope, and remembrance, saw walkers of all ages take part—many proudly wearing shirts and signs bearing the names and faces of the women they were walking for. Each step taken was a stride toward progress, helping to advance research efforts and improve outcomes for patients across Canada.

For those unable to attend in person, a virtual walk option was also available through mothersdaywalk.ca, allowing supporters from coast to coast to participate in their own way while still contributing to the cause.

Breast Cancer Canada expressed gratitude to everyone who registered, donated, and walked—either on-site or virtually. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to driving research forward and reminded Canadians that continued support is essential in the journey toward more personalized and effective treatments.

The Mother’s Day Walk remains a powerful reminder of the strength of community and the importance of honouring those we love through action and advocacy.
